I have used an Endura Rebound for the last couple of years, but it has been shredded by thorns and is now starting to get a bit too well ventilated, so i'm looking to replace it.

Is there anything else out there that is similar and worth considering?

-I don't want to spend lots of money (IME these things get ripped up a bit)
-It doesn't have to be able to to survive a downpour (I avoid riding in those conditions), just be showerproof/splashproof, and reproofing with Niktex is fine with me
-It needs to pack down enough to fit in a Camelbak
-Preferably doesn't make me look like a prat

?

All advice gratefully appreciated...

Montane Featherlite
Not waterproof but will see of a decent shower, weighs nothing and pretty cheap.

Endura Equipe Helium. Good weather protection and packs small.

It is cut very snug however - suitable for XC whippets and Roadies

I do like the look on the Madison Evo Lite which can be had for around £90, but I can't find any reviews of it anywhere, and none of my LBS stock it, so it would be a bit of a punt.

Hmm, the Montane is looking just the ticket at the moment. Do they look nice on? Also, any tips on sizing? I am 5'10.5, slim but reasonably broad shouldered/muscular (honest!) with a 42" chest - normally take a medium or large - but like a snug fit. No flapping around for me, thanks! I wear a large in the Endura.

Re. the other two, they look good but unfortunately ~£90 is probably more than I am willing to spend on something that I will probably damage when I fall off/ride into bushes! Maybe one day...

Nice in a simple and functional way, feel comfortable going to the pub in it...sizing similar to endura, I wear the same in both brands.
Worth checking ebay, picked up a second one dead cheap a few weeks back

+1 for the Montane, had 2 years of constant wear and rough packing from mine and still good to go. If you're quick you can get a limited edition black and red one. Buffalo make some similar stuff too.

That Montane Featherlite can bearly be described as "showerproof" , good bit of kit though, packs to the size of a tennis ball.

Mine has kept me dry in downpours. If they're washed properly and re-proofed with Nikwax they're great, no taped seams so not totally waterproof, but pack down really small.
One of the best bits of clothing I've bought.
