Personally I have only ever used 'Just Riding Along Milk' and never really had any problems with it but was just looking for others experience with different types? What would you recommend?

Stan's.

Friend tried Cafelatex and it wouldn't seal punctures. LBS told him that he had to add glitter to the sealant. He went back to Stan's.

Stans. Tried Caffee Latex, but found it doesnt like CO2 inflators, which cause it to harden.

Nothing more than art latex for me. £9 for half a litre. Mostly thorns and stuff round here which it cpes with admirably.

Stans but over time it develops the spiky balls we all hate.

Any homebrew recipes that people use successfully?

MTBR thread here for home brew:

Homebrew, works out about £10 /litre, works fine.

As per thread on MTBR covering it, basically 10-15% screenwash (proplylene / ethylene glycol antifreeze), 20-25% water and the rest art shop latex. The more latex in the mix the faster it seals bigger holes but the less time it lasts before making latex coral in the tyre (as Stans does). Add the latex to the screenwash not the other way round to avoid coagulation. Slime or glitter is said to seal small cuts faster. I don't use it, I've flinted a few tyres and got a white spray to add insult to tyre injury but not bothered with slime/glitter yet since it seals thorns etc without loss of pressure.

Currently using stans, but thinking of trying the Fenwicks stuff as I've been impressed with most of the Fenwicks range

Stans here too, as it works. Thought about DIY but the saving's trivial.

Anyone tried Stans with a bit of screenwash? If that's what stops it going off?

Fenwicks here - works well and it's bright blue which makes it extra good for comedy value when you are pumping your tyres up in the kitchen and the bead pops into place spraying a blue mist over the floor, walls, ceiling and everything you are wearing.

Specialised stuff is rubbish for ghetto. Too thick so doesn't coat the inside while doing the initial inflation.

Stan's for me although I used some Joe's no flats last week and it worked well.

Anywhere have either cheap?

I really liked the specialized one, I prefer the thicker ones as stans/jra seem to thin and just keep bubbling away whilst I'm frantically trying to pump the tyre up (with a track pump). Also used slime which is similar to speccy but I think the speccy one is better, seem sto have some kind of fibre in it

Bontrager. Never failed for me and doesn't dry out quickly/form balls as it isn't latex based. Conti and Fenwicks sound similar so I'd be happy to use them too.

Joe's no flats over here. Would recommend.
Tried Stan's & Bontrager. not so keen on these - Balling and poor low temp performance, iirc.
