There's about 200 miles separating them!

None have much of what I would call singletrack either.

Have a look on Youtube, just put Innerleithen in and see if you like what you see.

Going to be in the Glentress region. By singletrack I really meant no built up wooden drops of 5 or so foot to break my head on! something like the energy section at Whites Level Afan but maybe a touch more 'Gnarley' I have looked at You Tube but Video flattens out the hills and you can't appreciate jumps/bumps etc on the screen!

Another vote for Kirroughtree black though you earn the fun on the climb, Glentress also you can do a decent length dh single track from spooky wood down to the road both good

i was going to say Laggan, or Golspie, but they're even more miles away.

so yeah, kirroughtree; basically all the way round.

it's not ALL down, obviously, but some of the best descents are on the way up...

+ 1 for caddon bank. it's top, and worth a push back up for another go for sure.

If you have never been before I like the freeride park at glentress as well, it flows really nicely and got me doing drops and jumps I never thought I was capable of

I've never ridden the black at Kirroughtree, very excited to read it's good though as I'm there on Saturday!

You'll enjoy it nosedive, especially the bit mentioned above. Some of the fireroad sections are a bit boring, but the second half of the black/first half of the red are the most fun I reckon.

the best ones are not at the trail centres.

For trail centre specific ones, the entire way down from the top of Minch moor at Innerleithen. Taking in the black sections, then Caddon bank to finish.

there's pretty much no singlettrack on any 7 stanes officially graded route.
there's plenty around them tho if you simply open your eyes, for instance there's some much nicer natural semi-technical single track right next to the dull/worn drops on caddon bank.

Innerleithen, from the top of Minch Moor all the way down to the car park..
Black Craigs at Kirroughtree is over not long after it starts ๐Ÿ˜†

Spooky Wood is a bit dull. Innerleithen is way better. Or park at Glentress and go ride up and down Gypsy Glen. Has a reet good fun descent. Nowt crazy, but just a fast larf. Then pick up Glentress and do a few descents back to your car.
