[#1731921]

For me three things:

Being able to post a poll
Some where to have a chat....not via forum but live
An automatic refresh option rather than having to hit refresh every min.

I may have missed the above three things and if so please let me know but from what I can see none of the above are options.

Scantily clad chicks.

Oh and a "new post" icon to show you threads that have unread posts. Use to have that on the old forum.

I guess a question to ask the Mods is if there is/are any plans to update the site inthe not too distant future??? I know its only just had a change but no harm in asking.

Hate forums like that - having to click and load to follow a conversation through. quoting is easier ๐Ÿ™‚

Z1ppy - not saying it does not work but things can always be improved on. If we had a chat section I bet the amount of non bike related posts would drop by half this one included.

yup - signatures, avatars and the like are just added faff that dont add any value. Sigs definitely!

Leave it be - a subtle PM option would be nice but its just more faff for the guys to sort out and moderate and i think it works fine as is. I think they'd rather be riding ther bikes than dealing with stupid squabbbles on here about someone PMing someone else.

Why not introduce a Premier membership?

That way you could see lots of constantly updated stuff wot others cant. ๐Ÿ˜†

It's missing all the horrible things that make other forums unpleasant to use. Lets keep it that way. ๐Ÿ™‚

EDIT: having said that, the throwing-up smiley that someone used recently would be a good addition.

Could be not send 240v up someones mouse if more than 5 people object to their post? mwahahaha

An automatic refresh option rather than having to hit refresh every min

Not sure what browser you use, but most have the option (or add-ins available to add the option) to set a tab/page to refresh at a set interval.
Firefox
Chrome
even IE
Other browsers are available and there's presumably options for them too...

I'm in the "it works well enough, leave it along" gang ๐Ÿ™‚

what's that feature worth?

A feature where you can only spend as long on the forum as you spent actually riding your bike

PMs - if you want to communicate off forum with people you can leave your e mail visible in your profile

the only thing I'd like to see is the old "sort by last post" on the classifieds" and maybe some sort of PM system (or hidden emails that you can send to without pubicly being able to view address)

I really like the forum the way it is. It's easier to use than some others I go on and it looks nice too.

If there were to be any change, I'd quite like to know who is online at any time.

live chat would be VERY distracting from work.
lets ask for that.

Galleries?
being able to have my own picture as my avatar without having to sign up for a third party site?

Not a massive thing but I'd like a time & date stamp on posts instead of (...or as well as) the 'XX seconds/day/months ago'

In other places it's possible to chose nested or flat so you can see the posts the way you prefer.

See, my original comment is harder to get in the right place with quoting.

Id say the classifieds should be two seperate pages or sections, as in for sale and wanted.if im looking to buy a pair of forks i dont wanna see the posts of twenty other people who need a pair.
