[Closed] What is CRC's 365 day returns policy like?

[#6498988]

I'm going to be doing about 20-30 hours a week of bar work whilst cramming in about 30 hours a week of work experience at a University as a voluntary Research Assistant. As some of you know I left my previous paid full time job back in July.

Before that I sold my only bike about 9 months ago to fund a trip to visit my wifes parents and have since found myself a bit down in the dumps with no bike.

I figure it might be a good idea to pick myself up a nice hardtail frame and leave it sitting there to motivate me until I can afford to build the bike up. What is CRC's 365 day returns policy like, just in case I find myself up shit creek financially (low likelihood but the risk is there)?

Good plan or hilariously bad idea? I might fritter away my savings so I figure it might be a good idea to lock up some of my cash in something I really want, it will stop me from spending it on crap.

I have never (touch wood) had a problem (or even a question asked) when I returned any unused item to CRC. Even months after I bought the item.

But... with a big item (like a frame) you may have to pay postage to return it

Postage will never be an issue....it just seems like a very good bad idea to me. The thought is making me work harder though.

I sent a pair of knee pads back about 11.5 months after I bought them, using Collect+ so didn't pay return postage. No problems.

Cool, would I be able to remove the frame from the box to have a look at it or would that void the returns policy. I'm a bit paranoid about that kind of thing and CRCs website isnt entirely clear.

Cheers guys.

So long as you return in in exactly the same condition and packaging as you receive it then they will have no worries. Same as any other return except they give you longer to do it- treat it the same as any other unwanted returns procedure

Awesome ๐Ÿ™‚ cheers again! Should be a good reminder as to why I'm commuting to do unpaid work and doing 60 hour weeks with no day off - so I can have nice things in the future.

We returned some unused spd pedals which we'd had for about 18 months after CRC said they'd refund with gift vouchers, which they did, and I've returned a couple of items I've had maybe 9 months and not unpacked or used.
