Well, it makes a change from what tyres!

Seriously, I need to buy some more for Xc and trail centre style riding. Any recommendations?

It's the only components of my bikes that I feel happy to scrimp on. Unless we're talking about DH tubes, I've never noticed any difference in the performance of my inner tubes, regardless of whether they're £6 branded jobs or whether I get them from Tescos for £2.49 each.

I always use conti ones because I like the yellow caps!

I use Schwalbe xx lightweight ones on my Anthem to keep the weight down as far as possible, anything else has the cheapest ones in the shop.

While we're on the subject, does it matter how patched they are? Some of mine will soon be more patch than tube

I usually buy a job lot of 10 on ebay, worked out to £2 a pop, think the last lot are kenda.

None, preferrably. Alternatively, whichever tubes I've plucked from the trailside, taken home and patched.
