Need to buy a new one ASAP (for the weekend), and there's too much choice!
I don't want anything too heavy and cheap, but likewise don't want it to cost more than my wedding ring...

Needs to be 22t for an XT hollowtech 2 (64mm)

Been eyeing up the middleburn (? hardcoat or not) and the SLX ones too....

Your suggestions?

Well I've never weighed one but I guess they aren't light [for an inner ring] but the Blackspire stainless steel chuck ring is as tough as ***k & lasts forever

Used Middleburn with hardcoat on granny and middle ring for years - not let me down yet.

My advice after a bad experience with chainsuck on brand new kit would be to get the same brand as your middle ring. Hopefully, they'll have been designed to work together. I'm sure lots of people get away with mixing rings and I normally do but that one time was awful.

you'll see very little difference in terms of price and longevity. I personnaly go for TA, but that is just because they are easy to get this side of the channel ๐Ÿ˜‰
