In that case it should be on the front to melt the snow out the way so you can run normal tyres

the rack also doubles up as fuel storage, IIRC it was built for Mike Curiak to do some mega self supported wilderness exploring up in Alaska

Where's the caliper / hose? I think the disc is just so it's interchangeable with the wheel on the bike. Can't say I particularly see the need for a braked trailer either!
