What HT frame to look out for?

[#13220802]

So, following other upgrades and swap abouts of other stuff I've ended up with some spare bits.

27.5 boost wheels, tyres, 140mm forks, and almost enough other stuff to make up a full bike.ย  Just no frame to hang it all off.

I already have a pair of Pace, a 127 as a rigid moorland explorer, and a 627 and a hooning about machine.ย  So you can see I have a thing for steel HT's.

WWSTWD? Build up another Steel HT?ย  Go for something lighter? Low end Carbon thing?

I'm not ready to buy anything yet, just mulling options...

Seeing as you have touring and hooning sorted and like steel

Cotic cascade drop bar, should fit meaty 27.5+ tyres and it'd be something different

I would think about the bike you want, not just absorbing parts that you've bought....

Clearly you need a singlespeed!

The idea of a Cascade is tempting, but that niche is filled by the rigid Pace I already have.

Maybe a Solaris Max and 275+ SS...ย  Hmmm?

A jumpy fun machine. Something for an hour's off-road hilarity, and to show the youfs how to ride a pump track properly.

Going drop bar is a problem as it'll mean buying the bars, stem, and brakes to suit.

I'll stick to flat bar for now...

I rode a Bird Zero AM a few days ago. Really liked it.
