Without going into the reasons for why I want to record my commute (not for any form of campaigning before you start twitching), anyone got any recomendations of something:
*small (to be bike mounted)
*cheap
*reasonable image quality
*weather-proof (I commute year round)
Cheers
what ever you get, make sure you set it up so there is a decent reference item in the shot..
like part of the forks, wheel or bars/stem - this makes watching them back much nicer as it give the watcher a reference point.
good example - always something of the bike in shot - easier to watch
bad example - see how much harder it is too watch without a reference point
MD80 off ebay, wraped in clingfilm, worked for me at the gorrick enduro which was pretty wet.
Why bother though? 90% of the time even if its the car driver thats in the wrong you can probably look back on it and figure out how to avoid being in that situation again. And if I had vido evidence of every bit of bad driving I'd waste my (and the police) life going through it all.
and would you want your family to have footage of your slow and painfull death ๐

Cool. I'll have a look at one of those.
Chaps - I have my reasons, mainly paranoia and imminent fatherhood.

a found SD card was the basis of the ace docu about the guy who tried to kayak across the tasmin sea - never found him though...
