Good source of cheap parts but seems a criminal shame
Either stolen when it was easier to cut the frame than the lock, or it was replaced under warranty and Cannondale didn't want it back, or seller noticed cracks and cut it so that nobody would try to ride it when unsafe.
Frame damaged, so they chopped off the rear to stop it being ridden?
Weird that first picture is pre-cut and last is post 🤔
Also... "Recently replaced chain and rear bearing"
No understandy the 2nd part of that
Frame warranty on model they don’t hold spare frames for, so whole bike replaced upon receipt of photos of frame having been destroyed?
Got angry halfway through photo shoot, reached for angle grinder.
Frame warranty, i had something similar years ago
Cracked a frame around the BB shell, manufactuer sent me a new frame after requesting that i take a pic of the cracked frame with the dropouts hacked off (frame number was on the dropout)
They couldn't be bothered to wait for the paint on the wall to dry so cut the frame to kill some time.
We had several chopped-up Cannondales in the workshop back in my bike shop days. Warranty frames which we had to destroy to prove that we weren't selling them on. Somewhere I've still got a pencil holder thing made out of a BB / seat tube / down tube section.
It was quite satisfying to hacksaw them up.
Also, there's a reason they're called Crack'n'Fail.
Had to hacksaw a carbon Santa Cruz. Took seconds worryingly. Very satisfying though
I often wonder why more bikes don't get nicked by cutting the frame and leaving the lock intact. Sure the frame is goosed but the bike's probably gonna be broken up to be sold, and there's a lot of value in components
Obvious really, how else can you get the chain off to replace it with a new one?
