Looking to build a hardtail up for my lad. I have my old Kona Caldera 2005 as a donor bike for most of the parts, but frame is massive so looking for something about 15-16" to take a 26" wheel and 130mm travel fork (1.1/8").

He's about 5'4" and only an occasional user - so nothing too fancy.

Any suggestions?

My first thought was "On-One", and having checked you can buy a 456 frame for £150 which would do a job I reckon.

Inbred. My lad is 5'6 now and I got him a 16" frame and hung my old parts on it. Without trying to be fancy it's 30lbs with pedals, so 5 lbs lighter than his previous Decathlon cheap job.

Friend of mine built up a 456 Evo2 from parts off his old FS. He absolutely loves it.
