....unfortunately has to stay in Wales!

(sorry for the sea sickness inducing videos!)

Just a few clips from a lads weekend away in N.Wales ๐Ÿ™‚
Big grins ear to ear all weekend - Llangdegna on Friday, CYB on Sat, and rode the Marin Trail on Sunday (in the hooning rain and wind!)

I know it's 'groomed trail centre' guff, but by 'eck it's brilliant!!!

It's one of those things - as you're driving home, you're planning your next trip back!

That looks excellent!

I have only ever done 'groomed trail cente guff' ๐Ÿ˜€ cos I live by one - how does Marin compare to the dog and monkey at Cannock, out of interest loike?

Never ridden Cannock, only Afan/Brechfa before this.

I'd say that Llangdegna was faster and swoopier than CYB, but for me lacked the 'natural' feel (i.e rocks and roots)

CYB was ore-sum! I could have spent 2 days there.. Lots of routes, with a 'rougher' surface (i.e plenty of rocks and roots, and slightly more technical bits...)

Marin was brill as it was absolutely soaking, and the route is plastered with moderate sized rocks (can you tell I love them!!). Coming from the slippy chalky South Downs, despite the grim weather, the grip was fantastic and could blat your way through the trails!!

Thanks for that.
I only started this summer and have been on Cannock only - however by next summer I'll be ready to travel and Wales looks like it'll be first port of call. It looks similar to what I've got locally so if you are in the area give it a go - plenty of vids on youtube to look at too and I am told by more experienced types that the dog and especially the monkey are quite technical trails.

Cheers for sharing. Brought back some very recent memories.

Spent a week in wales right by CYB in mid september. At the end of the drive to the cottage was halfway round the Beast/Dragon's Back.

Have to admit though, had to order a new pair of pants on the Cain and Abel sections of MBR - was soaking wet and slippery and was not expecting them at all.

Cain and Abel can be real nasty. We arrived at that massive slab or slipply killer stuff to find a lad proper smashed up - I always think of it when there each time.
