Changing the spring on my pikes and it says to grease the outside of the spring before sliding it into the stantion. Does anyone know what grease should be used?

won't matter much. Some put a bit of an old inner tube around the moving end.

will have to see what i got in the garage then, inner tube is a new one to me!!
