hi, after a new front derailleur for my 2007 sx trail. I am running a dual ring set up, I have an old xt mec on at the moment but the chain constantly rubs on the cage.
what dual ring mecs work on your bikes please?
Not sure, but I took one off my 08 sx trail after one ride sitting in my shed. Pretty sure it is a sram one, but it's yours pretty cheap if wanted?

There's a dual-ring specific Shimano SLX front mech. Probably your best option. Works well on my bike (no rub!).
m760 xt on my old sx works fine.

It's only the rear derailleur that requires the correct brand shifter. A Shimano shifter will operate a SRAM front derailleur just fine.
