Please can someone with the knowledge tell me what year these 2 levers are (and any known probs)? I like the simplicity of the non on the fly lever (2nd one). I've been offered a pair of either, but dont want to miss out on a chance for a better lever. Thanks

Those are both The Ones I think, not R1s. Second one certainly is- 2010 model, or therabouts. Brilliant brake. Reliable- though the early ones have a slightly delicate diaphragm, revised for later ones. Spares available, though, not cheap. I've got 3 sets of these- light enough to be the ideal brake for my ti hardtail, powerful enough to be the ideal brake for my downhill bike. Love 'em.
The top one I reckon is a slightly older The One, though could possibly be an old Mega. Either way I would avoid, much more temperamental brake, and not as good even when working perfectly.

I prefer the simple lightweight looking 2nd lever anyhow, so I'll try and get a rear for that as well.
