Planning potentially getting a 456 frame, and have the dilemma as to whether to go with revs/fox 32s or go all out with some lyriks/36s. I ride trail/xc as well as DH - thoughts?

Something bolt through and about 140mm.

If you can afford a shortened 36 then why not.

i have ridden one with 140/150 & 160mm forks

At 140 was just too steep for my style of riding, 150 was sweet with some 36's very solid, tried them with some long 160mm Bomebers, was fun down but just a little too slack so back to the 36's

I like my Wotans on my c456 - 120-160 36 stanchions. Plush and stiff.

Revelations here (120-150 uturn). Lovely. Tried it with my Lyriks, didn't think it really added much and it made it feel really nosey.

Is it a steel 456? Carbon one really works well with a works components head angle reducer, for people who like slack anyway- turns it into a lightweight summerseason. Not such a good option on the steelie.
