Looking for some flat pedals. Have had dmr v12's in past and they are really good. I got wellgo v8 copys at the mo and they are crap. Any suggestions, looking at sealed cartridge bearing, as they last a lot longer

Not sure about the bearings but the usual answer is Superstar Nano Tech flats - ace imo.

Exactly the same as SS nanos but cheaper. Only in black though.

I have had the wellego v8 pedals for around 4 months and they are getting grindy and squeaking already. Which is crap. So the superstar ones look nice and got the cartridge bearing, how they compare to the dmr v12's. As i had some for 10 year and got no problems

Looking at these ones

http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/Bike+Shop/MTB++Parts/Transmission++Gears/Pedals-+MTB/Flat+Pedals/Wellgo+Platform+Pedals_395.htm

v8 version - £11.95 or v12 version - £21.95

Half the price of the dmr brand name

I've a pair of welgo b38's on my bouncy bike , very grippy with everyday vans trainers and a nice big platform.

I just got a pair of Azonic 420 pedals after coming to the conclusion that SPDs are some sort of cruel joke.

First ride out on them this morning and I think I made a good choice. Very grippy and a nice slim shape.

They were £45 from chainreactioncycles.com

asking the same question. Is it better to go for the original Nanotechs or the thru-pin version?

Get the Nanotech flats with the grub screws.
Best value flat pedal there is.
End of.

Just got a set of these and the difference to my V12s is like night and day. Light and very grippy. Exactly the same as the SS ones reviewed in the STW test (you can see where the printer machine used to say superstar). The superstar ones are £70 odd.
