[Closed] What first aid kit?

so friend crashed the other week and cut open his arm. Realised that I didn't have anything (except a foil blanket and a whistle). I had one left over tissue to do some basic cleaning up of the wound, however he ended up in A&E having stitches. it got me thinking what first aid kit should I be carrying for day rides/when we go to the Alps? I know I don't know needles and complex stuff, but there seem to be so many out there? What stuff do you carry? I was thinking a smallish one with some gauzes, tape to cover a wound, sling? That would be sufficient? what do you reckon? Thanks guys.

Pushing someone down the stairs to the cells is "health adjustment" not first aid.
...that could probably do with a smiley on the end...

Thats a little unfair crikey, you must have a very low opinion of the boys and girls in blue if you think they will require a bit of joking around pointing out to them.
