What size wheels are they for?
what sort of riding do you do? 8)
Book a demo before you take the plunge
Get silver ones, black ones aren't as strong.
I've got purple ones
Red ones is 36.765% fasters.
I highly recommend a skills course beforehand.
I've got gold ones on my mountain bike, green ones on my winter bike, and red ones on the race bike. For the obvious reasons.
Oh my days! I'd never given this much thought but now I'm quite worried.
Unecessary rotating mass IMO.
I use cling film as it's lighter less rotational weight
They don't look very aero.
just take a big poo before riding
Coloured ones to match your bike - I have red on one and purple on another ๐
Do you have indecision issues?
I use cling film as it's lighter less rotational weight
I use nothing. My weight weenyness wins.
and red ones on the race bike.
screams amateur. road bikes should never have dust caps.
I iz rockin' da fish, innit
I've got some of those in yellow and red - used to match my yellow and red 'Fisher but no good on my blue bikes ๐ฅ
Wtf is everyone 'umming' & 'ahhhing' about..... Gotta be pink innit ๐
I have a red metalic set I was given for Christmas. They look great, but to be honest, I think the transparent ones that came with my Canyon are faster. They are lighter as well (no paint).
Get the ones that come with a crown race.
Stolen ones.
Hope your using a torque wrench to tighten them and applying loctite, you'll almost certainly die (at somepoint) if you don't
Yeah good point - you'll void your warranty if you don't use the wrench.
I have some Mint Sauce ones if you want to borrow them to try them out.
Mine are yellow. It's only now I read everyone's wise posts I realise why I've been going so slowly. I'll buy silver tomorrow.
Unobtanium on special at CRC ๐
OP is a genius ๐
Bullets... obviously.
Look fast, thinks fast... err mince fast

I have spent so much time and brain power on this over the last couple of years but was very surprised to see this thread title - I'd forgotten bikes have dust caps too...
I like the green airwaves ones, I happen to have them on 3 of my bikes.

Same for me, but as they are on the road bike I consider them an homage to the jersey ๐
The heads off lego stormtroopers but only from the original films.
I swapped out my xc ones for freeride/dh ones for the alps.
Isn't t obvious?
The one second from the left on the top row of five goes on the front, and the one on its side for the back.
Sorted!
Green anodized on the full sus and red on the SS. For no reasons at all - they don't even match anything else. My inner rad rebel coming out....
The ones from the second OP pic will be fine, but they will, of course, have to be drilled out to make them lighter, sent to a specialist for poweder coating and some custom stickers made up form them. Something like 'One ####### valve' or similar
I think someone ought to tell the OP he's looking at car valve caps, not bicycle ones.
Do Superstar make dust caps?
*runs for cover*
wwaswas, I thought no one was going to mention that they're not presta, and therefore have no place on a bike ๐
What started out as a bit of a piss take has brought to my attention the idea of using Lego Stormtrooper heads. I shall start a new thread shortly if I can't decide which.
[*]I will post pictures later. I have a Darth Vader head up front and a Stormtrooper out back however any helmet from a lego mini figure will take a car valve. I used loctite super glue but I'd say any strong glue will work. Loctite was the lightest ;-0

Oh god, there's front/rear specific lego valve cap heads now.
Damn right. Darth up front is more suitable for a larger tyre see..

I'd see him more as my dark side bike valve cap.
igmc.
