Get silver ones, black ones aren't as strong.

I've got gold ones on my mountain bike, green ones on my winter bike, and red ones on the race bike. For the obvious reasons.

Unecessary rotating mass IMO.

I use cling film as it's lighter less rotational weight

I have a red metalic set I was given for Christmas. They look great, but to be honest, I think the transparent ones that came with my Canyon are faster. They are lighter as well (no paint).

Hope your using a torque wrench to tighten them and applying loctite, you'll almost certainly die (at somepoint) if you don't

Yeah good point - you'll void your warranty if you don't use the wrench.

Airwave tubes give you green dust caps. This is unquestionably rad.

I have spent so much time and brain power on this over the last couple of years but was very surprised to see this thread title - I'd forgotten bikes have dust caps too...

Same for me, but as they are on the road bike I consider them an homage to the jersey ๐Ÿ˜€

I wonder if it would affect you're performance? ๐Ÿ™‚
I'm guessing you blow your tyres up with a different method?

Isn't t obvious?
The one second from the left on the top row of five goes on the front, and the one on its side for the back.
Sorted!

Green anodized on the full sus and red on the SS. For no reasons at all - they don't even match anything else. My inner rad rebel coming out....

The ones from the second OP pic will be fine, but they will, of course, have to be drilled out to make them lighter, sent to a specialist for poweder coating and some custom stickers made up form them. Something like 'One ####### valve' or similar

I think someone ought to tell the OP he's looking at car valve caps, not bicycle ones.

What started out as a bit of a piss take has brought to my attention the idea of using Lego Stormtrooper heads. I shall start a new thread shortly if I can't decide which.

[*]I will post pictures later. I have a Darth Vader head up front and a Stormtrooper out back however any helmet from a lego mini figure will take a car valve. I used loctite super glue but I'd say any strong glue will work. Loctite was the lightest ;-0

I'd see him more as my dark side bike valve cap.
