Am I old?
What has this got to do with bikes?
Have a look on urbandictionary. They're probably on there

They tend to get used on here to describe bikes/riding so I wondered if they were some odd bike terminology. I guess not.
Schlepp is Yiddish for a journey that's a bit of a hassle, I believe.
Yo; I had to Schlepp up Dunkery Beacon before nailing the descent to Stoke Pero. Braaap!
brrraaaaapppp is the noise I make on my bike because it doesn't have an engine
also like nnnneeeeeeeeeooooooooooooowwww when passing people
Braapp is the sound of a powerful meaty machine that eats up everything in front of it, also the sound lots of do to mimic a MX..
Schlepp is the sound lots of STW's make as they clean their keyboard after an evenings furious self beating..
Brraaap is an urban ting innit.
braap is what you say about sumit good, innit blud.
Often used in conjunction with a hand in the shape of a pistol, by wannabe gangsters and chavvy kids. Also has roots in motocross like sharki said.
I've never heard schlep before though. This is probably a good thing ๐
Surely MX bikes go bwaaarp?
Peeeeerity nice Dopler effect you got there sssimon!
What a load of cobblers!
Braapp - used as 'cover-up-speech' when talking about a girl as you ride past - 'Blimey Stu! Did you see them Braapps?'
Schlepp - used in a similar contxt - 'Saw them Braaps?! Schlepped with them mate!#
It's marketing BS and it's working.....

"braap" is actually intended as an imitation of the noise an uzi, or similar handheld automatic weapon makes during a drive by.
Quite sad really.
I've always thought Schlepp is Yiddish, as Chakaping has pointed out. My Jewish friends use the expression, as do I , and quite a few people I know in London. I have no idea if it has some contemporary Yute symbolism.
As for 'Brap', that's the sound my bottom makes after I've had a curry and beer...
'braaap' happens when I open my handbag.
snaked by rudeboy...

Yup, thats what I thought it was too. Its when those cool cats the crazy urban gansta wannabees try to act all hard innit, and they point their fingers in the shape of a gun, twist the gun horizontal gansta stylee and go
"brrrappp ... wikid like innit "
and such twaddle and tosh.
brant in common modern usage it has nowt to do with motorbikes.

It does up our street.
Go to a DH race (in practice) and lots of the lads on the first/last corner make the Brrraaaaappppp noise as they pump MX style out of it!

Pook - I'm sorry, you're delusional (and can't spell).
There appears to be a world away from a brapp and a braap.
Personally I can't believe we're discussing this, I've got some half waffles to finish.
Have a gay day (You'll say that means something else where you come from I expect).
Dis is bare jokes man.
Calm down dear. It's only an internet discussion.
Braap.
Schlepp - what Cha****ng said. In German it means drag. Like when you're skiing - a drag lift is a Schlepplift.
