A stool for lazy bike fettling

[img] [/img]

And a Park PB1 work table

[img] [/img]

And a full set of seals for my Kitchenaid espresso machine.

So i'm currently sat on the stool with the espresso machine reduced to a pile of components on the PB1.

Emailed Harold to see if he could build me one on Sunday, Paypalled him on Monday and it arrived today. So 4 days to build and ship from Hong Kong - can't really ask for better service than that! Oh, and he included a second strap as an extra.

Based on an Orient Flight which I've wanted for ages but haven't bought because I really struggle to tell the time at a glance on the "normal" Flight dial for some reason.

Cheers Grum, I'm really pleased with it.

It was $315USD so £207 including insured shipping etc.

The "where" is a bit more complicated but basically it's a Yobokies (seikoboy backwards) modified Orient Flight. You decide what mods you want on a Seiko or Orient watch using his photobucket account or various watch forums for inspiration then drop him an email. There's no shop or anything, just a gmail and PayPal

He says yes or no and gives a price, you give somebody you've never met on the other side of the world and who's using a pseudonym a couple of hundred quid and hope for the best - can't recommend him highly enough though!

This is what the original dial looks like so totally different look to it.

Not particularly exciting, but it means I can get on with finishing the build on my 1980 road bike with its lovely Vitus 172 steel frame.

I did, I even labeled my wife's breakfast plate this morning in case she didn't know what she was having, the label read 'Toast'.

She left a label for me that read 'SAD BASTARD', I was outraged as she hadn't taken advantage of the upper/lower case feature.

A large stack of H plus son rims

Recently built up a set of Archetypes on Ultegra hubs. Really lovely ride to them. Quite surprised at how much nicer they feel than the OpenPro / 105 wheels they are replacing.
