Hi all,
Currently building up a 2016 Stumpy Carbon, but I'm missing a crown race for the headset.
Bit baffled about what I need to order. The bearing specs are:
Upper - 41.8mm x 8mm x 45deg
Lower - 52mm x 7mm x 45deg
Have a Works one on the fork, but I don't think it's right as it rocks about like mad.
A full headset looks pretty cheap as it's an integrated one, but still no idea which is the right one.
Anyone? Please 🙂
I'm guessing the 45deg bit is the contact angle? So I guess I just need a 1.5 crown race with a 45deg angle?
I think the Hope CR is angled at 45 degrees. Not sure how the seal will play though. Cheap enough to try and split too

We have a Hope bearing in the bottom of one of ours and the Specialized crown race fits it OK so I would have thought that a Hope one would fit the other way round. Bike Scene or one of the concept stores might have a Specialized one lying about. I have a box full of Specialized stuff that has come with bike frames but I dont remember seeing one in it that hasnt been used.
