As per the title really.

I figure a compressor will cost me roughly as much as a decent floor/track pump.

upto/around £50/60!

anything with a 6ltr tank will be fine for occasional use. I got a Clarkes on for about that from ebay.

Lidl/Aldi do them every so often but they tend to be 25ltr ones which take up a lot more space.

I just bought one of these for £60 from halfrauds yesterday. It does the job, and I couldn't find anything cheaper. Aldi was doing much more powerful ones for £85 a couple of weeks ago and some stores will have some left, but I went to have a look at them and they're massive.

the aldi ones are very good value, the main point of having a compressor for tubeless is having a good airflow and IMO a reserve tank so the compressor doesn't need to work all the time.Cnsidering you get loads of 'useful ' tools and the airflow is about 4 times as much and it has a 25 litre airtank, for only £15 more, it seems an obvious choice.
I've had mine for a while and its performed perfectly lots of interesting air tools as well
