[Closed] What compact brew kit?

Alpkit ti 650 mug, will hold a Kraku stove and small canister inside.
Coleman (or homemade) windshield round the outside.

Speedster stoves do a nice and good value alcohol based stove, pand and wind shield that packs up small.

Alpkit MytiMug that fits the smaller type screw on 100g cas cartridges and a folding Optimus Crux stove. The stove will fold up and fit inside the concave base of the gas cartridge which fits inside the mug leaving enough room for a folding spork/spoon small lighter/ferro rod and a baggie with teabag/coffe/suger etc. You can also get those little folding supports that clip onto base of gas cartridge to make it more stable - google primus footrest for the idea. Now get yourself to the DIY store and buy some of that silver foil buble wrap insulation and some foil tape and make a two part pot cosy for your mug ie a bottom and a lid that fit together to hold your kit.

Just need to get some collapsible cups - any ideas?

I changed my Coleman fitting stove for a Campingaz stove last summer. The Coleman used to take 10 minutes plus to boil a Trianga kettle with enough water for 2 small mugs. The Campingaz one boils it in 3 minutes. A little bit larger but so much more efficient.

Heat shields make a massive difference, but they're big and cumbersome.

There are many of these type available online, just search for folding mug.

Sea to Summit X Cup / X Mug are nice collapsible cups.

That Wildo cup is not bad, but doesn't fold down as flat.

If it's for day rides, why not use a flask?

Noticed the Brukit - only a couple of quid in it and the mytimug/kraku is slightly smaller.

Make yourself a pop/beer/soda can stove. Just needs a couple of cans. Plenty of instructions on the web. Uses meths - remember to drink the beer not the meths! - a bit slower to bring things to a boil but it's like 3mins30 rather than 3mins. Not a big deal really. You do need to use something for a windshield if there's any breeze.
