The s/h Rythmn Elites on my Salsa are getting a bit tired. They're wandering from true, the spokes are becoming a little more even, all the nipples have seized and the freehub bearings are gone.
They weigh 1820g ish and I don't want to add any more weight, it does light XC but it's rigid and has 2.35" tyres so a little width would help. I see Superstar have their cheaper wheelset at £280 which weighs the same, what's it like?
Nothing in the £100 wheel sale at Superstar? I had a pair of their 27mm wide trail wheels for a few weeks to get me rolling and they were pretty good!
Depending on what axle sizes etc you need there are some good bargains to be had on DT Swiss wheels using a bit of Google Fu.
I need 15mm front and 135 QR rear, if you see anything. 29er.
Cheap DT swiss (NoS I think) via the RCZ mailing list but you need several few weeks to get what you want - you register and then bide your time until something crops up and then wait a few more weeks for delivery
