For my Seat Ibiza Cupra

Tired of putting 2 bikes in the boot as everything get dirty, can't fit a rear rack due to the ridiculous stupid roof spoiler, and the tow bar option is also out due to the design of the rear skirt.

Whats a nice cheap option for a roof bar/bike carrier option that won't fall apart.

2 of my bikes are carbon, and they have an assortment of front axle sizes if that makes any difference.

Thule are good. You do get a small increase in fuel consumption, but I have never really noticed.

The 591 is quite pricey. obviously worth it if my 2k bike doesn't fall off the roof. But whats the difference between them and a 50 quid thule, or for that matter a 20 quid halfords job?

Get some second hand Thule kit. No reason to do otherwise.

I always end up with auto maxis. Usually half the price of Thule.

The 591s are just a doddle to use, really easy to get the bike on with minimal faff. Shop around and you can find them at a decent price, probably Ford branded or something. I've used the 531 style carriers and they're much more difficult to use by comparison IMO

are they ok on carbon frames? I'm also looking at the fork mounted options, but that means various adapters, plus of course putting the wheel in the boot which I can't be assed with
