depends on your weight but for very cheap have a look @ this.Cannot remember but I think they have a weight restriction on them tho. Also I have never even seen one yet ridden one. Just looked ok for the money.Although s/h is probably the way to go.Most important imho would be to decide what you want. Geared or singlespeed, 24 or 26 wheels, rear brake only, and something that fits you well for your height. Are you going to riding to the trails, ie where are you going to be riding it? Skatepark, local jumps, etc. ie do you need something large enogh to ride to the trials and then put the post down etc. Try to determine the rough top tube length you want ( if poossible try a few bikes @ a shop etc.) and get a feeling of what feels ok and take it from there.

have a look at the identiti site or commencal maxmax ( although too small??) , Scott Voltage etc to get an idea of what's about.Loads of different ones about everywhere
Say sod the budget and go for one of these, they rock.

may have a MaxMax unused (except for a ride to the post office and back) for sale in the next few days if your interested?
I'd suggest you just use your XC bike.
no new cheap jump bikes are any good, especially if you are on the large/heavy side.
im not heavy 11st 4 so that not a problem no it just for park and jumps dont need to ride there....

think there were a couple of dmr's in the classifieds. Doubt you'd go to far wrong with them.
