I'm doing a jumps and drops training day on Saturday and they have strongly suggested that flats would be best. All my bike shoes are spd.

Any deals on flat shoes? Euro size 42 / UK size 8.

I have some Camper hi-tops. Too middle class?

Personally, I wouldn't go changing my pedals and shoes before doing something like that - you want to be comfortable and confident IMO, so wear what you normally wear to ride.

My thinking too. I have however called them and they did say that flats would be better.

Plan so far is to borrow some flat pedals and try them with my Campers (they have a flat sole). And bring my usual pedals & shoes with me in a bag on the day.
