Want to switch out the flat bar on my XC bike with a riser. My other (also XC) bike came with a Race Face Next that bar I'm happy enough with, but not happy with the >£100 price tag.

Are the £50 Planet X bars good enough, or anything else I should be considering?

I’ve got my eye on the Brand X one which seems good value as long as you need a 31.8mm clamp bar.

I’ve just taken a Burgtec DH Carbon bar off my bike. Swapped for a Spank Vibrocore as it happens. Going to put it on classifieds later this week. £60 posted or £50 collected if you want it?

I’d say Brand-x would be a good shout.

And if @tracey doesn't get it, and it's 35mm, then I'll take it off your hands.

I swapped the shortish 690mm flat bar out on my Anthem for the brand X 780mm carbon riser + put a shorter stem on. It’s much more comfortable now. Wish I’d done it years ago.

The On One works fine - only 760 wide - but the sensible length if you do anything in trees ...

RSP ergo or Exotic, have been happy with both on my bikes.

Thanks all for tips - not interested in the Burgtec so please do pass down the list to someone who is! Sounds like Brand X or Planet X for me.

RSP's are decent value and weight.

My brother has the planet X bars, he's never had any issues and they looked well made when I installed them.
