I am after a 32t middle ring, but my question is what one that will last me a while over the winter (and is cheap, not XTR prices)?
I have a FSA that has lasted me about 200mi on my On-One and a Race face one the Giant that has lasted me about 500mi. But Saying that I was using the squirt stuff and I think it didn't do its job to well (now gone back to finish line wet lube) so I think the lube wore the rings down quicker than is should have done and I am now getting really bad chain suck, but the mileage stated here may not be a true indicator.
Middleburn with Hardcote is worth a punt for the price.
200 miles isn't long! You could try a steel one for longevity, otherwise the Alu ones will all wear at a fairly similar rate.
The Shimano XT one is steel with composite to keep the weight down, but is quite expensive. Surly do stainless steel chainrings too.
is there a way to fix the chain suck with the aid of a file? the gears arnt sliping.
if so do i file the trailing edge or the leading edge?
LX one is steel
Nesbo, file off the hook that starting to form, from whatever side it is...
suggest cheap steel deores... all i use
