Using Finish Line red, applied after most rides.

What’s the current recommendation? Don’t want anything too sticky (e.g. Finish Line green).

Arrrghhh! Not again!

I use Smoove - it's pretty dry and clean as long as you don't put too much on.

(awaits Putoline fans)

I think this is a very elaborate tease of a thread. Bravo OP. Made me giggle.

Really recommend Smoove for this dry weather. Rarely have to reapply and keeps the chain and cassette very clean.

Is Smoove any better than Squirt or Boesheild t-9? I've used both of those and have a mild preference for the Boeshield - it just 'feels' cleaner.

Still a fan of Juice Lubes Viking Juice here.

I got the impression Smoove lasted longer than Squirt but had the potential to leave more gunk.

I like Squirt generally but I still get gunk build up, actually considering just going back to applications of dry lube each ride, Muc Off yellow perhaps (have been watching too many Col Collective videos maybe...)

I use both Smoove and Peatys. The latter is rebadged Wickens & Soderstrom, and is excellent IMO. Very clean and long lasting.

Supermarket own-brand butter, applied by a slice of Mighty White.

I’m sure that would work for a bit, anyway.

Muc off C3 ceramic dry - very satisfied with the results & easy to apply / re-apply

Anyone know what the Finish Line Wax is like?

Lubing chains? Almost forgotten about that, been so many rides in smooth silence. Are you curious how I achieved it? Go on, ask!

I'd rather be smelling Wax/sulphates/graphite in the morning.

That one you heat up in a big tin on your kitchen stove.

I forget the name, but I tried it and it's grand.
