i was wanting a dh bike because the people i mainly go riding with now have santacruz v10's and giant glory's norco's etc... but then it struk me that it would be my only bike and its useless for everything else im wanting somthing that will go anywhere and do anything also somthing that i can follow them down the dh tracks... i have around £1000 (pending both my bikes sell) for a full bike im looking at second hand bikes mainly as you get alot more for your money

btw anyone wana buy them?

Sounds like you could do with something like a Pitch. 🙂

A sub 5 with DH forks on it would be quite an effective 'weapon'

For a grand though??? I think the Pitch may be the best bet.

Can you not just open an account with TON?
He will buy it new, you can then buy it from him after a months use, ride it for two months then sell it on Ebay?
Seems the best solution for all and will free up the Classisifieds 😉

That's a big ask, Ton keeping a bike for a month and Taka keeping it for, well more than 5 minutes really.

Should have stuck with the Pitch.

hmm yeah, maybe try persevering with a bike for more than a week to see if you can get used to it, rather than thinking its the bike at fault.

What was wrong with the 456 you had? i was fairly surprised you had a 20" one

Sounds like you need a 5 or 6 or 7-inch Trail/All Mountain bike.

Cove G-Spot, Orange Patriot, Lapierre Spicey, Spesh Enduro, Mythic Rune.

All can be built with air shox / forks for XC duties (albeit over kill for North / South Downs Way or built with coil shox / forks for the Alps and DH duties.
