As above. Lights for road rides and mountain bike rides as the evenings draw in. Any recommendations greatly received. Just a rear light isn't cutting it now.
Cheers

Can possibly be had for cheaper if you look around too.
p7 or similar from DX, current exchange rate should be around £30.....you'll have to wait 3 weeks for it though 🙁
just got one of these...iamoutdoors light virtually identical to magicshine (box is a different colour) small test in the garden and i reckon itll be bright enough!

Got one of these and the V2.Both decent lights for the price. Customer support from mtb batteries is first class as well. Deal extreme lights are cheaper but the quality is a bit hit and miss.

I've had no issues with my DX Magicshines in the 3 years I've been using them.

MTB batteries lights are most definitely not DX lights or from the same supplier, his backup & support Is another matter (little need but much vaunted & is unsurpassed). I have also used DX lights for many years, but got my last head unit from Smudge as I wanted a more reliable light. That's not to suggest i wouldn't recommend DX units but they are 'hit & miss' quality wise, especially their cheaper units. If you browse there lights, you will find some very very cheap unit & some not so, which are spec'd with exactly the same LED & battery. I will happily recommend the 'not so cheap' (but still very cheaper compared to UK manufacturers) but give buyer beware warnings on the cheap cheap (tweety bird) ones. That said the faults are usually easily fixed if you willing to use a soldering iron & don't mind a bit of DIY. The batteries quality on the really cheap ones though are really not to be compared (life wise & sealing), or expected to last TBH

I stand corrected , apologies to offended parties 😳
Thanks,
Don't want to wait three weeks so that counts those ones out. Will have a good look at the other two.
The Inton is killer light for this kind of money.
Very good quality and 1800 out the front real lumens.
Indeedy the dual Inton unit has phenomenal output but only of use as a bar light, the head unit is far too big & heavy for helmet use.
Neninja sells the latest "U2" version though is currently out of stock, but the older T6's (less efficient but IIRC the difference would be imperceptible) are available off ebay within your budget.
To quickly address your "can't wait" comment, many of the DX clones are available off ebay with quicker delivery times, if you pick a UK seller.
Some interesting info on this site & some useful beamshots. Though I'm slightly sceptical of his conclusions, that his lights am the best, after using some of the lights he talks about & disagreeing with his conclusion... but that's my opinion, I only recommend stuff & don't sell them.
