i managed fine on a Turner Flux on Slickrock and Porcupine Ridge trails

Possibility of trails in other areas tho.. but hmm.. interesting..

its not steep stuff, its technical. You'll need something you're happy to pedal. Nowhere in Moab or Fruita really requires anything more than 5 inches of travel, and slickrock is a lot better on an XC bike than a trail bike; the trail is so smooth that suspension isnt needed, and some of the climbs are amazingly steep!
