I have a wingnut pack. Awesome bit of kit. extremely light, quite spacious and you can get into the 2 side pouches without taking it off. Class ๐Ÿ™‚

Camelbak HAWG does the job for me. It's a bit heavy but it's pretty bombproof. I think the newer model is made of lighter material though.

This is awesome.

However, it may be totally impractical for your needs. Some more detail, perhaps....

Having had various Camelbaks, and for the last couple of years an Osprey Talon 11, I'd say Osprey make some fantastic packs. Just bought an escapist 25 for bigger rides and general day pack duties, and I reckon off the back of that the Escapist 15 would be a brilliant every day trail pack.

I love my osprey zealot 16 (actually 14, as it's the small). Far better than my viper, loads of pockets and handy toolbag too.

Bought a Cbak charge lr recently and really like it. Plenty of room for the essentials and the 2l bladder is fine for most riding.

I bought a discounted Mule 2011. Really good bladder design, quick release bit so you can leave the tube in place and just pull out the bladder. Bladder easy to clean too.

Fits loads of kit and holds a lid perfectly. I was also looking at the Hydrapak Big Sur Hydration Pack.

Most of all though I have found it nice to ride with, even when packed for a full days ride. Not bad air flow...and I sweat like a r*pist.

I've had one of these for over a year. No problems to report. Useful pockets where you want them, a half decent bladder, rain cover, reasonably light and comfortable. I wore mine from 9am-7pm on Saturday with a fair amount of stuff in it, although luckily I didn't have to carry water in it, and it was comfortable all day. And they are dirt cheap compared to some of the others on the market.

Another vote for the Osprey Zealot here, really like mine, better than the Evoc pack i had before it. Really well thought out compartments and comfortable on the back even when fully loaded. A bit expensive considering that you don't get a bladder with it but i'd still recommend it.
