Ben is correct, got them on my Whyte too. The idea is that any cack handed over tightening of the post-mount brake caliper will not strip the threads out of a frame and send it in for a warranty job. You will have two empty holes at rear disk mount.

Yes my Dirty Harry had these. Quite a useful thing to have even if you aren't cackhanded.
