as above, ive just bought some shimano boots... I have seal skins, but wonder if i'd be better off with some warm hiking socks?

I wore 2 pairs of thin merino ones from M and S under mine last winter - toasty

Cool, I'll look into it a bit more next week, but i think this weekend i may have to cope with just sealskins, unless tesco have something i can pick up on the way...

Sealskins on top, thin merino sock under that (Sealskins do one just for this purpose). Even if you leak, you'll still be warm in any conditions you're ever likely to ride in.
