Just tried to put my new short cage slx shadow rear mech on. All going fine until I try to route the chain through. Goes around the top jockey wheel fine, but won't fit between the lower jockey and cage ❓ when you look at it the cage has a bar just above the wheel which is stopping the chain fitting through the gap between wheel and bar.
Do I need a special chain, looked on CRC and nothing noted on there and can't see anything in the fitting instructions 😕
Check your chain routing againts the picture ?
Standard 9 speed chain required, what did you have before?

My Saint one might not be the same, but are you trying to go underneath it? The chain should run over the top of this bit. If we're on the same wavelength?
