Have had to have my old hardtail put down and now looking for younger model via cyclescheme at work.

So esteemed colleagues, with budget of £600, what would you recommend?

Cheers

If this was 15 years ago, I'd say Kona Lava Dome.

Hmmmmm.... I was just about to start a thread "What Hardtail for £549.99". Then sit back and watch the fur fly.

At the risk of repeating the £700 thread:

It was a good shout in the £700 thread. Not so good when it's £50 over budget though

I would recommend you look at the Boardman HT Comp, its got recons, juicy 3's and a nice assortment of SRAM gear. All for around £559.99 at the moment. I would also seriously consider going the extra £19 above budget for the Canyon Yellowstone 4.0, as it too has recons and juicy 3's. Whichever you would prefer, also take a good look at the Carrera Fury, its a bit on the heavy side compared to the Canyon and Boardman though 😛

I cannot find any for the Canyons. Be aware with the ratings as they are all subject to different factors, like 'best in class' etc.
Read the reviews carefully is my advice 🙂
