[#4620869]

I'm looking for an inline 25.4 diameter seatpost at least 400mm long with 70mm minimum insertion.

I know it's far from ideal but if I can find one I can use my jump bike as a SS

Closest I've found is 400 long with 100mm insertion

Anyone seen anything?

will the frame cope with only 70mm minimum insertion? often only the seatpost is marked, but frames have a limit too.

have you tried thomson?

Frame should be ok, 70 puts it below the TT junction

I can't see the minimum insertion on the Thomson posts

All Thomson posts have a min insert on them, something like 3". Personally I wouldn't be happy with a seatpost inserted to just below the TT junction. I'd want it a couple of inches lower to be safe.
Oh and Thomson posts are 410mm at their longest.

Nice mix of imperial & metric there but a 3" insert on a 410 post should work, now to sell a kidney to pay for it

Indeed, but its probably easier to visualise 3" than 76.5mm. Keep an eye on the classifieds. I think FSA do a longer one, possibly 450mm.

I have a silver Thompsen 27.2 410 with layback kicking around in my shed. Email in profile if you are interested.

EDIT: Sorry, just realised that the size is wrong for what you need.

according to their website FSA don't do any 25.4 posts & Thomson only do one in 350 length
