I went for these ones:

They are protected and seem to have a good write-up. I haven't done any scientific tests for capacity but all the ones I bought worked well.

More info here if you have time to spare:

I gave up searching on their site for batteries after I had forgot to order them when I bought my light.
I ended up getting them from smudge on here, excellent delivery - loads quicker than waiting for DX. Seem to do the job too,

Not too clued up on capacities etc, but the blue ones work fine for me, I have 6 and they all work the same as each other in terms of run-times. They are protected (as in cut-off voltage so they don't die when you run them out) and based on the wattage of the lights i use them in and how long they last, they would seem to hold 2500mAh consistently.

Christo - mine just arrived. About £20 for 2 18650s and a charger including delivery. Might be a tiny bit more than from Hong Kong or wherever but well worth it IMO.

His website is mtbbatteries.co.uk

I got these 2 years ago, as per Nick I have no idea on capacity but they've last 2 year and seem to be getting better with age.

Smudge though is definitely worth talking to though, nice guy.
