Hi All,
I've got some great news! We may be able to build trails soon! I have a meeting with the FC, where Ian Warby, from the CTC and I will be showing the FC how and what we would like to achieve. FC have started to make noises about a blue route for families, so it isn't a long leap to suggest that volunteers will be allowed to build some Black linking trails too. So in the next few weeks I should know more of how the FC want to proceed.
Just have to keep reminding myself that the FC move about as quickly as forests grow, so I am developing patience.....sort of.....
Great news! I work in Stanmore so might venture up there for some lunctime rides
Might pay to use QE park as a guide. It is sort of a trail center. Maybe suggest some 'hardening' in soft areas. Might be worth also not going straight from Blue to Black. It may get peoples backs up. Maybe do a simple level 1/2/3 routes. Doesnt sound as narly , but might end up being, if you get my drift.
