Dear God I'd forgotten about that mud and why we used to singlespeed.

I'm broken and god knows what is left of my bike.

This is why I never moved back to Oxfordshire. The Chilterns and the Berkshire downs - beautiful in summer, soul destroying in winter.
I'm amazed that I continued MTBing past my first winter riding on and around the Ridgeway.

I live in the Chilterns. Recently built up a fat bike.

All problems have a solution

Still mostly dry and crunchy at 9.30 too, although usual ploughing conditions in places

haha, all those years of experience, you'd have thought you'd have learned by now.

Don't miss winters in The Chilts! 😆

Funny, it's less boggy than April of last year. These cold, crisp days firm things up.

Agree, I was out at stupid o'clock yesterday to catch the frost. Mud free. Back to the CX next weekend I expect when it warms up.
