Dear God I'd forgotten about that mud and why we used to singlespeed.
I'm broken and god knows what is left of my bike.
Amazing how YUK that chalk is in winter few weeks back did a ride around Flyfield common and Avebury etc unreal how plastered you get around that way all good fun I suppose 😀
Should have gone out earlier. It was frozen hard in the Chilts when I was out at 8am 8)
This is why I never moved back to Oxfordshire. The Chilterns and the Berkshire downs - beautiful in summer, soul destroying in winter.
I'm amazed that I continued MTBing past my first winter riding on and around the Ridgeway.
Chalk/clay + wet = noooooooo
Know your soil.
I live in the Chilterns. Recently built up a fat bike.
All problems have a solution
I've wrestled the singlespeed off my son, will be fine
probably
😉
Road bike for Chilterns winter
Still mostly dry and crunchy at 9.30 too, although usual ploughing conditions in places
haha, all those years of experience, you'd have thought you'd have learned by now.
Don't miss winters in The Chilts! 😆
I live in the Chilterns. Recently built up a fat bike
I need to see a video to believe it
If it works I'd be tempted
Someone on a ti? Jones seemed be enjoying the view from the top of coombe hill this morning ? very crispy most of today too
Funny, it's less boggy than April of last year. These cold, crisp days firm things up.
Its OK if its been dry for a week and its about minus 5 🙂
Agree, I was out at stupid o'clock yesterday to catch the frost. Mud free. Back to the CX next weekend I expect when it warms up.
