HI,

ive bought this wax and sort of regret it as it just doesn’t get into the rollers.

so I had a light bulb moment I got a small candle lit it and gently ran the chain over the flame and the wax melted and ran into the rollers. Done 3 wet rides now and still quiet as can be.

anyone else tried this or done something different?

regards

chris

i got the bulk tin, sat in in a slow cooker, and fully submerge the chain for 10 minutes, remove, wipe of excess while warm

smells lovely

A hot air blower or hairdryer would do the same thing.

Hairdryers? Slow Cookers? Don't you mean deep fat fryers + Putoline

Putoline ftw. Deep fat fryer to use it if you’re flush.

Deep fat fryer a bit cumbersome if the chain is on the bike.

Slow cooker + Plutoline as there wasn't a deep fat fryer when I was clearing my mum's house.

The new application instructions from Wend suggest you use their wax removal liquid to "melt" the wax into the rollers. I did try the hairdryer trick but it wasn't very succesful. Perhaps I need a hotter dryer! The performance of Wend on some site I looked at, but can't remember, was very poor

Tried it, wasn't impressed.  Smelt nice though.

Went back to Smoove which isn't cheap either, but works for me.
