Hi there,
Well, the time has come for me to do the Welsh Coast To Coast ride.
It's a new, predominantly off road, route from Caernarfon Castle to Cardiff Bay. At 215miles long and 8.6km of climbing it's a tough one to do in one go, solo. But I'm up for it!
This route hasn't been done before, and we all feel justified in saying that it will be the first time anyone will have done it in one go; let alone unsupported and Alpine stylee.
It's part of the7ds.com (7 Deadly Spins) and you will be able to follow my progress on www.davebuchanan.co.uk/blog where I should be able to have live data uploads of my position using google maps. This may not happen if I don't get a wee bit of kit in time for that, though.
If all else fails then my colleagues will post comments on my blog to say how I'm doing. I hope that they are nice about me.
If you see someone intent on making good progress, and not too chatty (but polite) who is dressed in Skins and Ironhorse extreme gear on a pure bling Ironhorse Mk111...

Good luck dave sounds like its going to be an awesome epic ride, would have been good to come and see you off but BUCS Mtb is on.
