How? I've never owned SRAM now I've sold a XD 1150 cassette which is on a set of wheels, my usual Park shimano told doesn't seem to fit ?
Works the same way and uses the same tools as a Shimano freehub.
If it's bit fitting it's borked
On some tools, the teeth aren't deep enough or they bottom out on the end cap before fully engaging. Either of these will rip the tangs from the cassette and render it knackered.
That's ^^ what's happening. I couldn't engage the tool by hand so wondered why. It's not damaged just that the end cap stops the tool engaging. Arse, how to get it off....
Had tp pull the end cap off with some pliers on a Hope hub before our Park tool fitted, came of easy then.
The latest lockring tools from park etc are shaped to avoid this problem
as Tracey, if you've got hope hubs you need to pull the end cap off first. Took me a while to work that one out :$
It's a Novatec d772 hub.
