the most uncharacteristic link my wife has ever contrived to send me:

on, click me, you know you want to[/url]
but wow, man. There even is a bike frame towards the end. Phwoar.
EDIT: I think it is a bike frame, but an odd one at that.
It looks like a motor cycle frame brazed rather than welded. I could be wrong though.
Some very nice looking work in there.
As someone with a access to a TIG welder and occasionally ham fistedly does his best, some of those are hard to comprehend. I don't think until you try it you can understand how hard it is to be that neat.
From where I am sat I can see the aluminium support frame I made for a solar panel on top of my shed and cringe whenever I see it. It's stayed up there through some proper weather but man it's ugly!
Thought there would be Jennifer Beals content. 🙁
P.S. Second to last one might be difficult to achieve and well executed but it's minging.
I thought is was gonna be" Alloy Ash" the Carol Vordaman for men that work with their hands
Wow. Love the herringbone welds in the earlier pictures!
Could it not be CNC welding some of it? I hope not..
This fellow is very good, A few years ago I was close to this standard and it really just takes practice. I had a really nice machine that wasn't reliable and could use one at work. I've now changed jobs and have a cheap machine which doesn't have quite the finesse. It bugs me that I'm not as good as I was but I could get back there if I welded 3-4 hours a week permanently.
Looks like tig welding on a ti zorst !,nice like & a brazed frame.
Mmmm, nice. Reminds me of when I worked at Galmer Engineering where we made F1 exhaust systems.
I opened this thread expecting more white dresses and top hats to be honest.
Trimix
Inconel ???
😉
Yup, Inconel. Made from flat and welded to get the right diameter and complex bends we needed to make the exhaust fit inside the body work.
Spatter all over the place!
