[#8192797]

Was out this morn for a ride. When I got back to the house my right eye was clouded - initially I thought it was my glasses and had been ignoring it for about 30 mins or so as fogged glasses are the norm for me.

Noticed it was my eye when after repeated cleaning of the specs it didn't improve. Cleared eventually after about 20 mins of being indoors.

Anyone had this? There was no physical effect observable in a mirror. Give it to me straight... do I have Galöpping Nordic Cocc?rot?

I had that once after a really cold ride. Went away after a couple of hours but freaked me out a bit.

Ex had something which was a result of for want of a better word floaters in the eyeball. Movement made them jump around and then settle out again hence clearing, it was actually the symptom of something serious so best to get it checked out (as with all things really - not sure of the best place in the UK between a proper optician eye exam or docs)

Sudden increases in floaters, flashes, visual disturbances etc are always a good reason to visit an optician and preferably an Opthamologist.

See a professional (says the guy who's probably given himself a severe high ankle sprain but went riding 3 days later anyway....because zomg I've got a coil Pike!!!).

Most major high street opticians will check for more serious eye problems as part of a standard eye test. In particular I wasn't expecting the one that blew a little gust of air into my eye. Bastards.

Eye test to look at retina but I'm going with hydration and maybe a set of £15 Endura glasses. If it's cold air...what do you think?

Migraine aura? Google image search it. I've had it a few times after playing footy. It was rather worrying the first two times before i found out what it was.

I'd get it checked. Opticians for you

Yeh don't mess about with that, could be anything from optic nerve issues to retina etc. Or nothing, but not worth messing about!

Decent opticians nowadays have ultrasound scanners, which can do a proper examination of your retina, as well as the camera and whatnot. My optician tells me he's already spotted early warning signs of unrelated illnesses and referred several customers to their GPs.

Oh and the air puff test is old hat; nowadays they use a tiny probe, which you don't even feel as it bounces off your eyeball.

When the vision in one of my eyes went all wrong I found that pretty stressful tbh so the answer is probably yes 😆

(oh OK, be helpful... Optician first who can refer you to the eye pavillion)

Get yourself to a decent optician or your GP.

After yesterday's bitterly cold ride I had pain in my quads like I've never had before for about half an hour after getting home, so cold can have an unusual affect.

Having said that OP it's your eyesight and you can get a free eye test at Tesco that will rule out most things.

I've had this and being a bloke ignored it largely, maybe happened 5-6 times, i tend to have it if i have upped the pace on the commute home so heart rate has been high and then i step straight into a warm bath, Vision becomes "tunneled" and get floaters and headache of the same eye.

Went to GP and they didn't really seem to do anything, checked eyes and heart and said both fine.
