Had a good stack last Sunday, hit the deck FULL pelt and wrote my helmet off on a tree stump and bruised some fingers so badly I still cant fully clench my fist plus others bits and bobs

The only one that worries me is that during the crash my hip hit something and I now have a massive bruise and still have little or no sensation in that area, is this common?

lots of nerves in that area and they seem to take a while to recover from a big ding.

I'd give it another week and then go to the docs.

I've got quite a large 'dead patch' (about 3" x 5") on my hip thight where I broke my hip and had to have a couple of operations - it's been 5 years now so I think it's permanent.

it's cos you're so old you probably broke your hip

I had something similar ('dead' patch) on my knee / shin, following breaking my pelvis - not sure why it affected that part of my leg though, but I suppose that's nerve damage for you. It eventually returned to normal, but took about two years to do so.

i'd say it's a combination of age and the not insignificant masses involved in such a collision.

it's the tree stump i feel sorry for

After Mondays dislocation I have been told my numb patch on my arm could last 6 months. Weird sensation all the same, still, if I wanted a tattoo now would be the time!

Now I think about it I had something similar on my leg when it was crushed as a kid, that took a few years to correct itself, oh well!
